So for Halloween this year (and most likely all subsequent years and whenever else I can), I assembled a very accurate costume of HUNK from Resident Evil.
This is the only shot of it in good lighting. The red shows really well here
I got the lens effect by using the mask's official red lens outserts (they were quite expensive for being just two red discs and some rubber), and putting a plastic disc on the inside of the lens that I spraypainted with Krylon Looking Glass Mirror-Like paint, which allowed me to see from inside the mask, yet you can't see my face. It turned out absolutely perfect
Nice photo of the mask. Better exposure on this one, yup.
Indeed, the red reflects well. It seems to be the main part of your costume, so I'm glad you got it perfect. ^_^ You put a lot of thought into this. Did you ever make any other costumes prior?
Not quite; I had a Link costume made for me when I was in 5th or 4th grade. I bought it on eBay and the seller made it to my size. It was a bit expensive, but it turned out really well, and had an awesome shield, too. Other than that, every other costume I've had has either been uninspired or store-bought. This is the first and probably last time I'll ever make a costume, because it's expensive, and I really like this one XP
